Job Summary:

Account Executives are a critical component of Spiceology. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining B2B customer relationships from both a pre and post sale perspective. This position will be responsible for prospecting, contacting and getting chefs, restaurants and wholesale accounts to buy from Spiceology.  Most importantly, Account Executives will be the driving force to growing our new customer base by selling our value proposition of quality, variety and beautifying their kitchens with our Periodic Table of Flavor packaging.


Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Reach out to prospective clients to secure either a phone or in-person meeting
  • Clearly and effectively communicate the benefits of Spiceology products to potential customers
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, prioritize contacts / deals and clearly communicate sales status to management of top accounts
  • Build and maintain lists of Gold & Platinum potential customers
  • Represent Spiceology at conferences, tradeshows and industry events
  • Liaise with Spiceology Client Success Managers, Marketing and SpiceCave teams to ensure customer growth and satisfaction
  • Closely monitor new customer conversion, account growth and handoff accounts after their 2nd order
  • Establish and maintain accurate data within Hubspot


Education/Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales or hospitality, ideally both
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines with both customer and management needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic; driven to contribute to a team
  • Goal oriented, self-motivated; able to work independently but within a team environment


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to work independently, initiate their own projects as needed to streamline their workload, understand the business process and work in a team environment
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines; working after hours to meet proposal and project deadlines, if needed
  • Excellent phone and face-to-face sales skills with the ability to clearly communicate our value proposition and handle objections
  • Persistence and grit
  • Learns quickly, asks questions, detail-oriented and wants to understand their responsibilities and the industry
